design development: Once the Schematic Design meeting is complete, we ask the client to take the drawings and mark them up with their own thoughts, ideas, or questions.  These notes are then used to derive a plan that incorporates each parties ideas.  Once everyone is pleased with the overall design, the Construction Documents phase can begin.

construction documents: The Construction Documents are the drawings and specifications needed for building permits and pricing.  Because L. Newman Associates / Paul Mansback, Inc. is a design-build firm, this phase is much shorter and less expensive than most firms can offer.  Due to the design-build aspect, L. Newman Associates / Paul Mansback, Inc. can almost immediately begin pricing the construction and finishes before the Construction Documents are complete.
